Medesektionen har modtaget en mail fra finnerne, ang. nordisk mesterskab:
“We had a meeting with the Finnish angling section a few weeks back. We decided that Finland will not be participating in the NC in coarse angling anymore. We have chosen to put our strength into the Baltic Cup, which will be held in Finland next year once again. The Baltic Cup isn´t yet an official competition – at least regarding FFRF, our organization – but we sincerely hope to make it one as soon as possible. As the competition develops, we will need to build an international section, with one person/country. This section will then decide – on a yearly basis – who will be given the opportunity to arrange the BC. The Finnish angling section has decided that I should be the contact person in our country, and I hope that you all will make your picks in respective countries, so that we´ll have a base to start building on. Hopefully other countries will join us later.
The BC was successfully held here in Finland in 2008, and if you have questions regarding the competition or results, I advice you to turn to Mr. Seppo Pönni. He is one of actives who put the competition together this year. As I already mentioned, just to get things going, we decided to arrange the BC in Finland in 2009. After that the glove could perhaps be picked up by somebody else, but at that point I hope we have a preliminary international section, which will make the decisions on behalf of all countries involved.”
